Carnival of Personal Finance #204
Welcome! Â This week I’m proud to be hosting the Carnival of Personal Finance - the traveling blog carnival that brings you the best from the personal finance blogosphere. Â
Some have written recently about the end of personal finance - and I respectfully disagree, largely because of the great writing you can find by reading some of these blogs below. Â I started this blog because I believe there is a general dearth of adequate financial education in this country (and beyond, for that matter), and this corner of the blogosphere gives me hope. Â It’s filled with everyday people learning the basic precepts of financial literacy and sharing that learning with a vibrant community. Â The challenge, as I see it, is spreading these lessons far and wide. Â But that’s a topic for another day. Â Let’s get to the posts!

The theme of this year is “gardening” since it seems like the IRS wants us to “cultivate and grow” our businesses. If we think about it, it’s a very good theme for this year because after going through 2009 and all the changes that happened for businesses, having to “cultivate and grow” your business could mean a “new beginning”.

Shame on Bank of America getting into the tax lien business. Charging higher fees and profiting on people’s suffering - again! This bank makes me sick.

Great article with many fascinating information! I can’t say that I agree with all you have said here, but there are many relevant recommendations you have highlighted that can be quite useful on gardening and associated topics. Definitely keep offering more ideas on this topic and associated subjects, as there are many out there like me who are working to evaluate the ups and downs.

This morning there was a compelling article that gave an overview on the most important ways gardening has shifted over the past several years. It concluded that natural and all-year gardens are the most important changes. Do you agree?
